"Waiting On" Wednesday: Tick Tock & Trapped

Waiting On Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine. This week, I'm excited for:

Tick Tock
by James Patterson & Michael Ledwidge
Publication date: January 24, 2011

From Good Reads:

"A bomb set in one of New York's busiest places is discovered before it explodes. But relief turns to terror when the police realize it is just a warning of greater devastation to come. The city calls on Detective Michael Bennett, pulling him away from a seaside vacation with his ten adopted children and their beloved nanny, Mary Catherine--leaving his entire family open to attack.Bennett enlists the help of a former colleague, FBI Agent Beth Peters. His affection for Beth grows into attraction and then something stronger, and his relationship with Mary Catherine takes an unexpected turn. Another horrifying crime leads Bennett to a shocking discovery that exposes the killer's pattern--and the earth-shattering enormity of his plan."

I would also love to read this one:

by Michael Northrop
Publication date: Jan 1, 2011
From Goodreads:
"The day the blizzard started, no one knew that it was going to keep snowing for a week. That for those in its path, it would become not just a matter of keeping warm, but of staying alive....
Scotty and his friends Pete and Jason are among the last seven kids at their high school waiting to get picked up that day, and they soon realize that no one is coming for them. Still, it doesn't seem so bad to spend the night at school, especially when distractingly hot Krista and Julie are sleeping just down the hall. But then the power goes out, then the heat. The pipes freeze, and the roof shudders. As the days add up, the snow piles higher, and the empty halls grow colder and darker, the mounting pressure forces a devastating decision..."

What are you waiting on this Wednesday??

  1. I've enjoyed a couple of JP's Michael Bennett series...Trapped sounds good, too.

  2. Gripping picks...Trapped sounds especially good to me!

  3. Great picks! I read Trapped last month, and I unfortunately didn't love it :/ I really hope that you do! Can't wait to see your thoughts on it :)

  4. here's mine

  5. Trapped is the one I am eagerly wanting to read .

    My WOW

  6. I've never really read James Patterson's many books except for Kiss The Girls. But, this one sounds like a good thriller. Like one of those spy action. Trapped sounds really good.
